By booking services with Maven Manuscripts, you agree to the following terms:
Scope of Services
Services may include manuscript review, developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, proofreading, and editorial consultations. The specific scope of work will be confirmed in writing prior to project start. Editorial services do not guarantee publication or commercial success.
Project Timeline
Estimated completion timelines are determined after the initial consultation and review of the manuscript. Timelines depend on manuscript length, level of edit, client responsiveness, and current scheduling availability. Delays in client communication may result in adjusted delivery dates.
Payment Terms
Payment is due in full at the time of booking to reserve your project slot unless a payment plan has been agreed upon in writing. Work will not begin until payment or the first installment is received. Payment plans, if approved, must follow the agreed schedule.
Refund Policy
Consultation fees are non-refundable once scheduled. For editing services, fees are non-refundable once work has begun. If cancellation occurs before work starts, a refund may be issued at Maven Manuscripts’ discretion, less administrative costs.
Scope Adjustments
Quotes are based on submitted word count and manuscript condition. Significant increases in length or scope may require a revised quote prior to continuation of services.
Author Responsibility
The author retains full responsibility for final revisions, fact-checking, legal compliance, and publishing decisions. Maven Manuscripts is not liable for publishing outcomes or claims arising from manuscript content.
Confidentiality & Rights
All client materials are treated as confidential. The author retains full intellectual property rights to their work.
Professional Conduct
All communication must remain professional. Maven Manuscripts reserves the right to terminate services if conduct becomes inappropriate. Applicable refund policies will apply.
